Q - What is a Vinyl Decal?

A - Vinyl Decal material is a self adhesive rubber like sticky sheeting. Decal makers cut various designs shapes into the material with a computer and plotter cutter machine system. The vinyl decal or stripe is a one layer adhesive design typically sandwiched between a paper protective backing layer and a top masking tape layer. See the illustration we created for an easy visual. The decal or stripe having been cut with a blade on a plotter machine will show your vehicles paint color thru various letters numbers and shapes. This negative parts cut out of your decal and removed away from the design collectively create the words numbers shapes and design styles you have available to choose from with our products.

Q - What is the difference between a Vinyl Decal, BodyWrap, and a Sticker?
A - Vinyl Decals are like mentioned above a one layer adhesive sheeting material which plotter machines cut the designs out of to make up various letters shapes and designs. The color of the vinyl decal is determined by manufacture and come in a rainbow of colors and various speciality series of materials like chrome mirror or frost etching to give a couple examples. BodyWraps are solvent Jet or Ink Jet Printed Designs onto a self adhesive large roll of print reseptive vinyl material. You can basically print realistic photographs pictures and designs in full color onto the material. The material is then cut into large blanket sheets and are then wrapped and tucked and adheared to the majority of a vehicles body. Stickers are typically some form of a printed design onto an Ink Reseptive Vinyl which can be white clear black or other colors. These designs after being printed onto the vinyl are then "die-cut" around the adges of the design that makes up the customer logo or project image for sticker size needs and so forth etc. etc.. Same protective paper backing and typically no top application top tape layer.

Q - How long does it usually take to receive my order?
A - We only cut our vinyl materials when we receive an order which guarantees a brand new fresh product. We require only between 2 to 5 days production time to make your order and ship it out depending on how busy we are and holiday down time delays. Typically the transit time when orders are out headed to the destination local can be between 2 to 7 business days within the USA. Shipments going to other countries can be between 3 to 14 business days depending on what country order is going to and your countries Custom's policies and proceedures for shipments received from other countries and territories in the World.

Q - I live outside the USA in another Country, do you ship to other countries?
A - YES! Unfortunately shipping is a little expensive due to the cost of Insurance and such to protect your decals on the long trip, However it's worth it!

Q - When I received my stripes, they were rolled, how can I get them straight?
A - What you want to do is relax the curl. Easiest way is to simply take a piece of tape and tape onto the top tape layer at one end and hang the decal against the wall for a few days or however long you wish to relax out the curl. You're basically letting gravity straighten the stripe back out. It does it slow and is easy.

Q - When I received my stripes, they have lumps or creases, are they ruined?
A - NO! Actually the lumps rolls or creases are only visible because of the protective paper backing that is a harder paper material then the vinyl material sandwiched between the top tape and that white paper backing. Once you install and pull the white paper backing away from your decal, you will see how much more flexible the decal product is you are holding. Vinyl material is a VERY POORUS material. It stretches and conforms to curves easily. For most stripes we sell we recommend installing the stripes using the "Wet Install Method" because that method provides the installer time for positioning and second attempts in the process.

Q - How hard is it to install these large hood and bed stripes?
A - Well, I suppose it all really depends on how confident you are in your own abilities. If you are a skilled person who works with your hands you might do better then someone else who works at a computer for a living. When in doubt always simply call your local sign shop on an estimate to install your stripes.

Q - How much does it cost to have my decals installed professionally?
A - Depending on your areas competition would play a factor. Call a local Sign Shop, Detail Shop, Window Tinting Shop, Lettering Shop, but try to stear clear of Dealerships. Dealerships typically charge alot for labor, you might want to avoid that unless you have a friend in the business. Average professional decal and stripe installations at these various shops can range from $10 to $75 one time single price. Some shops like to charge by the hour. Hourly rates can range from $5 per hour up to $75 per hour. So, if you are going to have your order installed professionally, keep this in mind. Some individuals are not big shops and do this stuff on the side and work for much much less money then an estabilished businesses. Shop around! In my experience and local installs I do myself, typically I can install a complete kit for the ram truck within 60 minutes from start to stop. Cal around and do your homework before you spend the bucks for professional work.
